UFC Leader Considers Comparing LeBron James and Jake Paul to Habib Nurmagomedov in Mixed Martial Arts Context
In an intriguing turn of events, UFC President Dana White has shared his thoughts on hypothetical fights involving retired UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
During an interview with Overtime, White expressed his belief that Nurmagomedov, who retired undefeated in 2020 with a perfect record of 29 wins, would dominate in a fight against basketball legend LeBron James. White stated that Nurmagomedov would either submit James or rip his arm off, predicting a quick end to the fight.
However, when it comes to YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul, White estimated that Paul would last 25 seconds in a hypothetical fight against Nurmagomedov, suggesting a longer contest compared to the predicted fight with James.
Meanwhile, boxing promoter Bob Arum has voiced concerns about White's reforms, believing they pose a risk to boxers. Arum has criticised these reforms and warned that they are dangerous.
In the realm of MMA, potential replacements for Sharif Bulev in a fight are being discussed. Kayuru Borralho has offered to step in, while the organization ASA is involved in the situation regarding Belal Muhammad and the fight with Gasanzov. The RCC has refused to release Belal for the fight, according to ASA.
Interestingly, Borralho has also expressed interest in a potential fight against Paulo Costa.
Nurmagomedov's retirement from professional MMA competition remains in effect, and he has not competed in any official fight since his last bout against Justin Gaethje in October 2020.
White's predictions have stirred up conversation and speculation, leaving fans wondering what could have been if these hypothetical fights were to ever take place.
