Jon Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion, has been contemplating a potential bout against divisional interim leader Tom Aspinall for several months. However, substantial progress in organizing this matchup remains elusive. Aspinall has voiced his displeasure due to delays and ambiguity, and Jones' recent remarks to Vic Blends are unlikely to alleviate his exasperation.

Outside the octagon, the champion is venturing into new realms, such as acting, a dream he's long harbored. Jones is optimistic that his passion for MMA won't wane, but his plans for future fights remain unclear.
A recent conversation with MMA fighter Kamal Gadzhiev and Jones' ambiguous statements hint at the possibility of him retiring, although an official announcement has not been made either by Jones or the UFC.
