Scoop On Cedric Dumond's Arrest

UFC fighter Cedric Dumond is still behind bars after his arrest on allegations of domestic battery, home invasion, and illegal firearms possession. Shocking details have surfaced from an explosive incident involving the 29-year-old athlete and the mother of his child.

According to police documents, Dumond forced his way into the woman's residence through an unsecured door, angrily snatched her phone, and sought to forcefully retrieve his wedding ring. A heated exchange followed, with Dumond declaring, "If I'm going to jail, I'll at least have the rings." Despite his efforts, he was unable to remove the ring but made off with a gold chain worth $400. He then sped off in his vehicle, only to return and hurl her phone into the yard.

The victim was visibly injured, displaying bruises and recent scratches, all of which were captured by law enforcement. As officers processed the situation, she received multiple calls from Dumond and his new companion, imploring her not to send him to jail.

Things took an unexpected turn during the arrest when officers discovered Dumond hidden in a dog crate in the backyard shed of his new girlfriend's home. During a search of his car, they uncovered illicit substances, a firearm, and parts of the stolen gold chain.

Dumond attempted to justify his actions, claiming he had come merely to pick up his belongings and that the woman had initiated the altercation by handing him the chain. However, his prior conviction last year complicates matters - he now faces a stern penalty for weapons possession. As of now, Dumond's bail stands at a whopping $558,500, with a court hearing scheduled for May 23.
