UCLA's Bruin Marching Band Granted Exclusive Collaboration with Musical Group Muse on Upcoming Studio Record

The UCLA Bruin Marching Band has made a significant mark in the music industry, collaborating with renowned band Muse on their hit song "Pressure" from the album "Simulation Theory."

The collaboration, credited as "Pressure (feat. UCLA Bruin Marching Band)," showcases the band's unique brass and percussion instrumentation and performance, adding a distinctive element to the track.

Muse, consisting of Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Dominic Howard (drums), has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and boasts an impressive collection of awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards, and eight NME (New Music Expression) Awards.

The band's version of "Pressure" has already been heard on several broadcasts for the National Football League, the Major League Baseball playoffs, and college football. The song is also available on Spotify for streaming.

The collaboration was arranged under the direction of Gordon Henderson, the director of the Bruin Marching Band, who was responsible for arranging the brass and woodwind music for the recording. Kelly Flickinger, former assistant director, handled the percussion music.

The Bruin band members worked on the music for about a week before the session, but they had no idea who the recording was for until they arrived at the studio.
