The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has chosen Slovenia as the host for the 2026 European Road Cycling Championships. The event, set to take place in Ljubljana, will run from October 3 to 7, following the conclusion of the ongoing championships in Drôme-Ardèche, France, which are live on L'Équipe from October 1 to 5.

The UCI has revealed that the 2026 edition will prioritise time trials over road races, aiming to close the week-long event on an exciting note. This shift in focus is expected to provide a unique challenge for participating cyclists.
