UAE President Advisor Anwar Gargash Honored as 'Preeminent Personality of the Year'
The Dubai Press Club honored top social media influencers on the final day of the Arab Media Summit. Among the recipients was Anwar Gargash, a top Emirati politician and advisor to the UAE President, who was named 'Influential Personality of the Year'. The awards forms part of the fifth edition of the 'Arab Social Media Influencers Award', which was also bestowed upon other notable figures such as Anas Bukhash, a popular Emirati podcast host, Mohammed Al Nofli from Oman, Ahmed Al-Zamel from Kuwait, and Ahmed Al Marzouqi from the UAE, among others. The categories recognized ranged from sports to arts, culture, tourism, and entrepreneurship, aiming to foster a culture of dialogue, development, and constructive community engagement in the Arab world.
In addition to the 'Influential Personality of the Year' award, Bahraini creator Omar Farouq won the tourism category, while Shahid platform from Saudi Arabia was recognized in the arts and entertainment category. The 'Best Children's Platform' went to Ta'allam Ma' Zakaria, appreciated for its Arabic-language educational content suitable for children.
Noteworthy ceremonial attendees included Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the patron of the awards, reiterating the event's significance in supporting socially responsible digital media.
