UAE Performs 69th Aid Airdrop, Distributes 500 Tonnes of Food Relief within Gaza
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has continued its aid efforts in the Gaza Strip, with the latest operation marking the 69th airdrop of essential supplies. This latest drop, carried out in cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, included food supplies and other essential items.
The UAE's aid drops form part of a larger, ongoing series of humanitarian efforts. To date, the UAE has conducted 69 such drops, with the total volume of aid airdropped now reaching over 3,924 tonnes. These drops are aimed at meeting the needs of residents in the Gaza Strip and bolstering the resilience of the local population.
The supplies for these aid drops are prepared with the support of UAE-based charitable institutions and entities. In this latest operation, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and France also participated, demonstrating a collective commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.
The UAE's role in international relief work is significant, as it mobilizes regional and international efforts and promotes a humanitarian approach to crisis relief. This operation is part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and the UAE's Operation Birds of Goodness.
It's worth noting that while the airdrops have delivered over 4,012 tonnes by air, the total aid delivered by the UAE to Gaza exceeds 80,000 tons when including land and sea routes. The UAE's land efforts to secure vital supplies for Gaza have added 500 tonnes of food supplies, bringing the total aid volume to over 4,424 tonnes.
