UAE Leader Pays Official Visit to Serbia's Capital, Belgrade, for Working Meeting

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is currently on a working visit to Serbia, accompanied by a high-level delegation including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; along with a number of ministers and senior officials.

Sheikh Mohamed's visit to Serbia marks a continuation of the UAE's efforts to strengthen its relations with the Balkan region. Two months prior, Sheikh Mohamed held talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucić where they agreed to step up cooperation under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that took effect in May 2025.

Upon his arrival at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Sheikh Mohamed was received by President Vucić. An official ceremony took place, featuring the playing of the national anthems of the UAE and Serbia.

The talks between the two leaders centered around investment, economy, trade, technology, food security, and renewable energy. President Vucić described the visit as a strong signal of shared commitment to long-term cooperation. Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE's support for development-led diplomacy in the Balkans.

Prior to his visit to Serbia, Sheikh Mohamed visited Azerbaijan and Georgia, where he was welcomed by the respective leaders and held discussions on strengthening bilateral ties. In Georgia, Sheikh Mohamed was welcomed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze upon his arrival at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport.
