The UAE and Hungary forge ahead in discussions to consolidate a potential partnership aimed at enhancing the development of Paralympic sports. The high-level talks, which transpired at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council headquarters, were attended by Mohammed Fadel Al Hameli, Chairman of the UAE Paralympic Committee, and Károly Benes, Ambassador of Hungary to the UAE.

The discussions centered around prospects for collaboration in training, knowledge exchange, and programme development for People of Determination. Proposals were unfolded for joint training camps and the exchange of technical and administrative expertise, setting the stage for a formal agreement between the two nations.

Al Hameli underscored the UAE's unwavering dedication towards expanding sports opportunities for People of Determination, highlighting that around 600 athletes are currently active across eight specialized clubs in the country. Numerous athletes have garnered international recognition in disciplines such as shooting, powerlifting, and athletics.

Hungary's delegation offered insights into their experience in Paralympic sports development, while the UAE showcased its cutting-edge facilities and inclusive infrastructure, positioning it as a global hub for Paralympic events and training camps.

Both parties expressed confidence about the prospect of bolstering bilateral cooperation, with the common goal of empowering athletes and supporting their success on the international stage.
