U.S. seeks international cooperation for migrant repatriation
Apparently, Senator Marco Rubio has declared that the U.S. is on the hunt for more countries like El Salvador to ship third-country migrants to. Two individuals in the loop have confirmed this tête-à-tête, whispering that Rwanda is one of the nations under discussion.
"I ain't sugarcoating it, we're gunning for other countries to welcome third-country nationals. And it ain't just about El Salvador," Rubio asserted during a powwow at the White House with President Trump's administration.
Since Trump's return to the Oval Office in January, he's been beating the drum about implementing a mass deportation program for undocumented immigrants to fulfill one of his 2016 campaign promises.
In March, over 250 alleged gang members were booted from the States and shipped to El Salvador. They were sheltered in a top-security prison in exchange for dough doled out to the Salvadoran gov.
Back in 2022, Boris Johnson's Conservative government proposed a contentious plan to fling illegal migrants heading to the UK over to Rwanda. However, that scheme never saw the light of day.
Keir Starmer, Labour party leader, yanked the Rwanda plan from the table when he took office in July 2024.
Reports in the Yank media claim the U.S. is also chatting with Libya in terms of this migrant matter.
"We're drilling down with other countries, basically telling them we want to offload some of the scummiest humans on the planet," Rubio continued, aiming to purge a mountain of perverts, pedophiles, and child rapists. This rhetoric mirrors the language used by Donald Trump.
Rubio added that the message is crystal clear: "If you want to keep your cool with the U.S., you gotta take back your undocumented nationals. And we've scored historic cooperation."
"Senator Marco Rubio, aiming to continue his conservative approach in policy-and-legislation, has indicated his intention to expand a practice started with El Salvador, attempting to deport third-country migrants to other countries. This was declared during a meeting with President Trump's administration in 2022.
Notably, the United States is reportedly in discussions with countries like Rwanda for this purpose, following the footsteps of the UK's abandoned plan in 2022.
Reminiscent of Donald Trump's rhetoric, Rubio has been assuring other nations that they must take back their undocumented nationals to maintain harmonious relations with the U.S.
In the realm of general news, this renewed focus on deportation policies is expected to shape the political landscape in the coming years."
