In a tell-all to state-owned Iranian media, Ayatollah Ali Chamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, flat-out refused Donald Trump's proposal for talks regarding their nuclear program. That's right, the President of the United States got a big ol' L. Trump's letter, delivered by Anwar Gargasch, an advisor to the President of the UAE, didn't stand a chance.

Chamenei ain't no fool, mate. He called Trump's offer a dirty trick to deceive the public. "If these Yanks can't keep their promises, what's the point of wasting our time in negotiations?" Chamenei barked, "So, that invite to negotiate...? Just a sham, is what it is."

The heat's on as the US cranks up the pressure against the Islamic Republic. Trump had previously hinted he sent a letter to Chamenei, proposing nuclear talks, but warned there were 'two paths' regarding Iran: war or a deal that halts their pursuit of the A-bomb. No surprise Chamenei wasn't having any of it. He'd already hinted that his crew wouldn't be forced into talks by "unreasonable demands" and threats.

Irrational Americans may have missed the memo, but the Iranians didn't forget. In '18, Trump pulled the US out of the 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran and the world powers. Then, he slammed them with some of the toughest sanctions they've ever seen. It sure took a toll on their economy. The Iranians responded a year later by busting the nuclear restrictions, as announced. They've always insisted their nuclear ambitions are strictly for civilian purposes. "If we wanted to go the nuclear weapons route, the US wouldn't have a prayer," Chamenei said recently, "We don't wanna."

But, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) dropped a bombshell last month. It turns out Iran's stockpile of uranium enriched up to 60 percent purity (not far off from weapons-grade quality of 90 percent) has seen a significant boost recently.

So, while the US tries to bully Iran into submission, the Iranians are making their moves behind the scenes. Let's see who blinks first! 💥🎯
