Chasing Basketball Dreams: German Star Leaves Bundesliga for Louisville
American-bound basketball prospect shifts to the United States from Germany - U.S.-bound German Basketball Ambitions
Whip out the streamers - the brightest star in German basketball is crossing the pond! That's right, the sensational 21-year-old Sananda Fru of Wolves Braunschweig will be strutting his stuff for the University of Louisville now.
"Step into the abyss, I guess? It's a bit terrifying, but hey, I've got my Braunschweig family with me, and they've got my back!" the young phenom beamed.
Fru originally hails from good ol' Berlin but headed to Braunschweig five years back. This season, he put in the hard yards, starting in an impressive 33 out of 34 league games. Whoa, talk about a workhorse! Shortly after, the BBL crowned him the top German youth player of the season.
So, where does that leave the USA and the Bundesliga? Braunschweig, you ask? Well, well, well... it'll be losing a formidable force, that's for sure. Time to rally the troops and snag a replacement, if you ask me!
