U.S. authorities accuse a German-American of plotting to carry out an assault on the American Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In Brooklyn federal court on Sunday, Joseph Neumeyer, a 28-year-old American-German dual citizen, faced charges for attempting to firebomb a branch of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Neumeyer had been living in Israel since April and, on May 19, published multiple menacing statements on his Facebook account, such as "Join me this afternoon in Tel Aviv as we burn down the US. embassy" and "Join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America. Death to Americans and f--- the west."
According to the criminal complaint, Neumeyer then appeared outside the Tel Aviv branch office of the U.S. Embassy with a backpack. He approached a guard, spat on them, and tried to escape when the guard attempted to detain him, abandoning his backpack in the process. Law enforcement officials recovered several Molotov cocktails from the backpack.
Neumeyer was arrested at his hotel and deported from Israel to the United States. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the arrest, stating, "Neumayer was arrested earlier this week in Israel – when Embassy officials discovered a backpack carrying multiple explosive devices and a social media account allegedly linked to Neumayer detailing intent to attack the Embassy and threatening President Trump."
Recent social media posts by Neumeyer also advocated for the assassination of President Donald Trump, according to prosecutors. The case is ongoing, and Neumeyer remains in federal custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
Update:The FBI has revealed that two staff members of the Israeli Embassy were killed in an "act of terror" in Washington, D.C., but there is no known connection between the incident and Neumeyer's charges.

- The general news has been fommulated with the international justice system given the recent arrest and deportation of Joseph Neumeyer, an American-German dual citizen accused of attempting a war-and-conflicts act by firebombing a U.S. Embassy branch in Tel Aviv.
- In the realm of politics and crime-and-justice, Neumeyer's ongoing case is of significant interest, as he not only faces charges for his actions in Israel but also for advocating for the assassination of U.S. President Donald Trump on social media.
- Despite the ongoing case, it is essential to note that the tragic act of terror causing the death of two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., remains unconnected to Neumeyer's charges, serving as a separate reminder of the urgency for international justice in war-and-conflicts and terror-related activities.
