U.S. Assault on Narcotics Vessel Results in Three Fatalities, According to Trump's Statement

In a bold move, the United States military has conducted a military strike on a vessel allegedly carrying drugs in international waters, marking the second such attack in two weeks. The vessel, which was targeted near Venezuela, is believed to have been operated by the Venezuelan drug cartel known as Tren de Aragua, a group that has recently expanded its influence to other Latin American countries and the US.

The US government designated Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization last week, citing their involvement in drug smuggling, extortion, illegal mining, and human trafficking. The attack on the drug ship resulted in the deaths of three people from Venezuela. No US military casualties were reported in the strike.

President Donald Trump emphasized the threat posed by drug cartels to national security, foreign policy, and vital US interests. He declared, "Be warned - if you transport drugs that can kill Americans, we will hunt you down!" The President shared a video of the attack, which was 27 seconds long.

The US justice system accuses Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro of involvement in international drug trafficking. In response to the US military presence off the Venezuelan Caribbean coast, Maduro considers it the "greatest threat" in a century and has threatened armed resistance in case of a US attack.

In an unprecedented move, the US government has doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest of Maduro to up to $50 million. The US has reportedly deployed several warships off the Venezuelan Caribbean coast to intercept drug smugglers.

In the previous attack, the US military did not specifically mention the Venezuelan drug gang Tren de Aragua. However, the group attacked by the US forces in the past two weeks is believed to be Tren de Aragua. The victims were described as "three male terrorists" by President Trump.

The US government's actions against Tren de Aragua and its alleged involvement in drug trafficking come as the cartel has been expanding its influence beyond Venezuela's borders. The US strike on the drug vessel was carried out on President Trump's orders.
