Tyson Fury ends retirement to face knockout king Makhmudov in London showdown

Tyson Fury will return to the ring on April 11, 2026, after a year-long retirement. His opponent will be heavyweight knockout specialist Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The event, streamed globally on Netflix, will also feature a packed undercard with 11 bouts, including Conor Benn vs. Regis Prograis as the co-main fight. Fury announced his comeback with a clear goal: to 'make boxing great again'. The former champion last fought at the same stadium in 2022, where he defeated Derek Chisora. His return bout against Makhmudov marks his first appearance since stepping away from the sport.

Makhmudov brings a fearsome reputation into the fight. With a 90% knockout rate, he has finished 17 opponents in the first round alone. His only UK appearance came in 2025, when he defeated David Allen. Tickets for the event go on general sale via Ticketmaster, starting at £43.65. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with a capacity of around 62,850, will host what promises to be one of the biggest heavyweight clashes of the year.

The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix, making it accessible to fans worldwide. Fury's return and Makhmudov's explosive power set the stage for a high-stakes showdown. The undercard, featuring Benn vs. Prograis, adds further weight to an already stacked event.
