Heavy rain and overflowing rivers are expected in the coming days, posing high risks to provinces such as Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and others. Flooding has already impacted numerous areas, causing damage and loss of life.

In Mae Hong Son, flash floods from the Yuam River have devastated homes, farmland, and bridges. Tragically, a 38-year-old woman lost her life in a landslide. Local agencies and volunteers have been swift to provide relief and aid to the affected 36 villages in six sub-districts.

Typhoon Bualoi, though weakened, continues to bring heavy rain to northern and upper northeastern Thailand. Phetchabun's Lom Sak and Lom Kao districts have been severely hit, with over 1,000 homes submerged and reservoirs overflowing. River embankments in Uttaradit have broken, leading to floods in three districts and necessitating evacuations and assistance for residents.

Heavy rain has also caused landslides and power pole collapses, leading to the closure of highways near Ton Sak Yai National Park and the Sirikit Dam. Phu Soi Dao National Park was temporarily closed for safety reasons.

Local aid organizations stand ready to assist in high-risk regions, including Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai, if needed. The situation remains dynamic, with more heavy rain and potential flooding expected in the next couple of days. Authorities urge residents to stay vigilant and follow safety guidelines.
