Two storm systems, named "Karlheinz" and "Michael", are expected to bring thunderstorms and significant rainfall to Baden-Württemberg, potentially causing soaked conditions.

Baden-Württemberg Braces for Mixed Weather over the Next Few Days

Residents of Baden-Württemberg are in for a mix of weather over the next few days, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). The region is expected to experience temperatures around 20-28°C, with occasional rain showers and light rain.

From Monday to Tuesday, showers will persist across the state, accompanied by hail and gusts of up to 60 km/h. The heavy rain could amount to 15 to 25 liters per square meter in an hour, with up to 20 liters per square meter possible in under three hours, as reported by DWD.

On Sunday, low "Michael" will be dominant, bringing a mix of sun and clouds. The weather will remain wet until Wednesday, with no summer weather expected until then. However, warmer weather is expected to return with the approach of "Hedwig" from mid-week, bringing summer temperatures back to Baden-Württemberg.

In Eppelheim, there will be 6 days of rain within the next 30 days, with maximum temperatures reaching 28°C from August 9 to 12. In Albstadt, a light rain shower is forecast for August 1, with a temperature around 20°C and winds at roughly 8 km/h. Near Rust, variable cloudiness with showers is expected on August 1, followed by brief morning showers on August 2 and scattered showers on August 3.

For Ulm, the forecast shows partly cloudy skies with some light drizzle around late morning and patchy rain nearby by midday. Temperatures will be around 21-23°C with humidity between 65-76% and winds northwest at about 16-20 km/h.

On Sunday, the highest temperatures will range from 17 degrees on the Ostalb to 23 degrees by the Rhine. Widespread showers and locally thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected during the day, with individual showers or brief thunderstorms expected mainly in the southern half of the region.
