Two Minors Pilfer Matriarch's Statue from Public Site
In the vibrant city of Ufa in Bashkortostan, four knucklehead teenagers went on a destructive spree during the night of April 22. Word on the street, via a Telegram channel from the local ministry of internal affairs, is that these kids were caught red-handed vandalizing a piece of public art.
As officers cruised through Bessonova Street, they stumbled upon a rowdy group, a trio of girls and a boy dragging the statue of a mother, which is part of a monument dedicated to large families. It seemed like they were trying to sneakily hide the sculpture.
These troublemakers were promptly apprehended and escorted to the police station. The offending culprits turned out to be two girls born in 2006 and a boy and a girl born in 2009.
According to the ministry’s statement, the minors had no qualms about destroying a piece of art, breaking the monument, and attempting to abscond with the evidence.
The minors received what's known as a 'preventive talk' and the authorities initiated an investigation, promising to take appropriate measures later on.
In the past, in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, a man couldn't seem to control his anger and dismantled the “Defenders of Donbass” monument.
It's never a smart move to mess with public property, especially pieces of art. If you're inclined to disrupt your community or cause harm to another person's creation, remember this tale of four hooligans in Ufa, and think twice before committing such silly acts.
