The German Masters Championships, the national championships for Germany, took place in the Offenbach district of Gotha. Among the many impressive performances, Elisabeth Wisniewski stood out, particularly in the W65 age group.

The championships spanned over multiple days, with various weather conditions affecting the athletes. The second day, in particular, was affected by rain and cold, making the long jump competition challenging. However, the third day saw an improvement in conditions.

Elisabeth Wisniewski began her journey at the championships on the cool evening of the first day with the high jump. She continued her participation on the third day, taking part in the javelin throw competition.

In the high jump, Wisniewski's performance was not recorded, but her success was evident in the other events she participated in. She secured a bronze medal in the javelin throw, achieving a distance of 21.76 meters in her fifth attempt. This was not her only medal at the championships; she also won two bronze medals in total.

Despite finishing fourth in the long jump competition on the second day, Wisniewski demonstrated her strength in technical events. Her perseverance and determination were evident as she continued to push herself, despite the challenging weather conditions.

Wiebke Baseda emerged as the winner of the javelin throw event, with a distance of 25.46 meters. However, Wisniewski's performance should not be overlooked, as she secured a bronze medal in the same event.

The athlete who made headlines for his impressive performance was Franz Schrader (M65), who defended his title in pole vault with a height of 2.40 meters. Schrader won three medals at the championships, further highlighting the competitive spirit of the event.

Elisabeth Wisniewski's success at the German Masters Championships follows her win at the Hessian Championships. Her consistent performances and dedication to her sport are inspiring, and she is a testament to the spirit of athleticism in Germany.
