Two individuals sustained injuries during a night-time assault in Kuban
In the Krasnodar region of Russia, a series of drone attacks, reportedly originating from Ukraine, caused destruction and disruption. The attacks, which began around 8:40 p.m. on July 23 and lasted until early morning on July 24, targeted various infrastructure points, including railway hubs in the region.
One of the most significant incidents occurred in the city of Krasnodar, where drone debris hit a train station, damaging a passenger car and injuring two people. The victims, both with minor injuries, were provided with first aid and medical examination. One of them was taken to the district hospital but was later released and returned to the train station at their request. The other passenger refused hospitalization.
The power at the Timashevsk train station was temporarily lost due to the drone debris, but it has since been restored. Fortunately, no damage to railway infrastructure was reported in this incident.
Elsewhere in the Krasnodar region, minor damage to private homes, including broken windows, was reported in the Temryuk and Slaviansk districts. In Timashevsk, drone debris fell on a train station, damaging a passenger train carriage, but no fires occurred in any of the reported incidents.
The regional governor, Veniamin Konдraтьev, provided updates on the Timashevsk incident and the broader Krasnodar region attack through their Telegram channel. The train resumed its journey following the incident at the Timashevsk train station.
This attack on the Krasnodar region is part of a wider conflict, with the Russian air defense systems intercepting and destroying over 100 Ukrainian drones nationwide during this period, including those targeting the Krasnodar region. The exact number of casualties and the extent of damage outside of Krasnodar are still being assessed.
