Two individuals meet a tragic end in separate residential incidents within the Queens district, as stated by law enforcement.
In two separate incidents of violence, a shooting in Queens, New York, and a stabbing in Hamburg, Germany, have left families mourning and communities on edge.
In Queens, a 76-year-old man named John Muraco was fatally stabbed late Saturday night. The alleged crime occurred in a house on 102nd Street near 159th Avenue in Howard Beach. The NYPD is currently investigating the motive behind the attack. As of early Tuesday, no description of a possible motive has been released.
John Muraco's suspect is described as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, and a black bookbag. The NYPD is actively seeking this individual.
In a separate incident, a 21-year-old woman named Dashanna Donovan was shot to death in her East Elmhurst home on Friday night. The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. in Donovan's apartment on 96th Avenue near Astoria Boulevard. This incident does not appear to be connected to the previous murder case involving Carl Muraco, a 25-year-old man from Queens, who is facing murder and weapons charges. Muraco was arrested on Sunday morning, and a judge ordered him held without bail at his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court.
It is important to note that this article does not provide information about any weapons charges related to the Donovan shooting case. The lawyer for Carl Muraco could not immediately be reached for comment.
The shooting did not occur in the same location as the previous murder case involving Carl Muraco. The police are looking for a man as a suspect in the Donovan shooting case, but no further details about the suspect have been released.
In a tragic turn of events, Dashanna Donovan's murder was presumably committed on September 27, 2016, and she was found in her apartment in Hamburg, Germany. The NYPD urges anyone with information regarding either of these incidents to come forward and contact the authorities.
