Two individuals, Ajaz Khan and the producer of 'House Arrest', are facing legal action due to a leaked explicit scene from the series, resulting in their arrest.

Video Sparking Widespread Criticism: Locally Recorded Clip Widely Shared, Drawing Condemnation from Netizens and Political Leaders Alike

After the clip caused an uproar, there was widespread sharing and condemnation, not just by netizens but also by political figures.

Welcoming you to our desks, here's the lowdown on the 'House Arrest' drama unfolding on the 'ULLU' streaming application. Ajaz Khan, the show's gregarious host, and Rajkumar Pandey, the affable producer, have found themselves in hot water following a complaint filed by a Bajrang Dal activist, Gautam Ravriya.

According to an Amboli police station official, "Based on Gautam Ravriya's complaint, the police have registered a case against Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and other associates from the ULLU app."

The case is filed under sections concerned with obscene acts in public places, and other sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

The putrid stench of controversy was spread by a clip that circulated on social media, featuring former 'Bigg Boss' contestant, Ajaz Khan, coercing contestants, both male and female, to perform suggestive acts. The host was seen bombarding participants with lewd questions, causing them apparent discomfort.

The clip garnered widespread scorn not only from social media users but also from political leaders.

As the stench grew, the National Commission of Women also took notice and demanded that Khan and the ULLU app's CEO, Vibhu Agarwal, appear on May 9, 2025. Their post stated, "NCW takes suo motu cognizance of the vulgar content on ULLU App's show House Arrest. Clips indicate women being pressured into compromising positions on camera. NCW criticizes the platform for condoning vulgarity and disregarding consent."

Even Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi voiced her objections and argued that similar apps, such as ULLU and Alt Balaji, have managed to evade the I&B Ministry's ban on apps spreading explicit content.

Earlier, Maharashtra BJP MLC Chitra Wagh demanded an immediate ban on the show, claiming that it flaunts obscenity.

"Ajaz Khan, masquerading as an actor, has created a show called 'House Arrest.' It's nothing more than an appalling display of obscenity. Clips from this show, available on the ULLU app, are now freely circulating on social media, and they are beyond vulgar," she asserted.
