Two hikers die in Chile’s Torres del Paine as seven Israelis vanish on treacherous trail

Two Mexican hikers have died in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, while seven Israeli trekkers remain missing. The incidents took place along the park’s popular 'O Circuit' route earlier this week.

The first death was reported on Monday when a man was found inside the park. A day later, a woman died while being transported to Perros Camp for medical care. Both victims were part of a group hiking the challenging 'O Circuit' trail.

The seven missing hikers, all from Israel, were last seen on the same route. Search teams are currently working to locate them amid difficult terrain and unpredictable weather.

Authorities continue their search for the seven Israeli hikers. The deaths of the two Mexican trekkers have raised concerns about safety on the remote trail. Updates on the rescue operation are expected as conditions allow.
