Gathering of Actors from 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' Classic Film - Two Ferris stars, previously encounters, reunite once more

After almost four decades, it's like old times! Since the 80's high school classic, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," Matthew Broderick (63) and Alan Ruck (68) have kept separate paths, but it looks like they're about to cross again on the silver screen. According to Deadline, the dynamic duo is in talks for a role in the upcoming buddy comedy, "The Best Is Yet to Come."

This film adaptation of the 2020 German release, "Das Beste kommt noch," promises a fun ride, as Broderick and Ruck navigate through unforeseen adventures and challenges. If all goes well, production for this comedy flick might start as early as this summer!

Twin Talents Team Up?

The creative team for "The Best Is Yet to Come" includes Director Allan Loeb and Jon Turteltaub behind the lens. Producer Dimitri Rassam, who worked on the French original, is also joining forces for the U.S. version.

The film's plot revolves around two age-defying pals, reminiscent of their high school days, who, due to a misunderstanding, believe one is on the brink of demise. They seize the moment to embark on a road trip, celebrating their friendship one last time. Think of it as a witty sequel to "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," but with a twist!

Matthew Broderick recently starred in the comedy, "No Hard Feelings." Meanwhile, Alan Ruck has been making waves with his outstanding performance in the hit series, "Succession."
