Twitch star Trymacs endures 6-hour music torture for breaking *WoW Hardcore* tax rules

Twitch streamer Maximilian 'Trymacs' Stemmler faced an unusual punishment during a recent livestream. The penalty came after he broke the tax rules of the WoW Hardcore project Sauercrowd, where he plays alongside other content creators. Two project founders, HandOfBlood and Papaplatte, enforced the creative consequence live on air.

The WoW Hardcore challenge includes a strict in-game tax system: players must pay one silver per character level every day. Trymacs, however, chose to pay his taxes in a single lump sum instead of daily. This violation led to his punishment, which involved two parts—waiting last in line for the next IRS payment and enduring a relentless music playlist during his next stream.

The playlist, curated by HandOfBlood and Papaplatte, featured a short loop of radio-style songs. It played nonstop for at least six to seven hours, with no breaks or variety. Trymacs struggled through the ordeal, describing the music as unbearable torture. After roughly 5.5 hours, he finally signed off, admitting defeat. He later confessed that his reaction was far worse than most people’s would be. The streamer had previously called the daily tax payments tedious, explaining why he preferred lump-sum payments. Despite his frustration, the punishment stood as a firm reminder of the project’s rules.

Trymacs’ experience highlighted the strict enforcement of WoW Hardcore’s tax system. The punishment, though unconventional, served its purpose—ensuring compliance with the challenge’s rules. His next IRS payment will now come with an added wait, as he must go last in line.
