Twins edge Red Sox 4-2 as Larnach's four-hit night shines

The Minnesota Twins secured a 4-2 win over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. The victory came as Trevor Larnach delivered a standout performance, matching his career-best with four hits. Meanwhile, Taj Bradley made a solid return for Boston after recovering from injury. The Twins struck early, taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning against Red Sox opener Jovani Morán. Larnach dominated at the plate, collecting three singles and a double to tie his personal record.

In the fourth inning, tensions flared when a collision at home plate led to both benches and bullpens clearing. No punches were thrown, and play resumed after a brief delay.

Bradley, back from a chest muscle injury, pitched five innings for Boston. He allowed just one run, giving up three hits while recording seven strikeouts and two walks. The Red Sox managed only five hits in total, continuing their struggles in low-scoring games—they now stand at 2-20 when scoring two runs or fewer.

Taylor Rogers closed the game for Minnesota, striking out Jarren Duran looking to secure his second save of the season. The win improves the Twins’ record, while Boston’s offensive struggles persist. Bradley’s return showed promise, but the Red Sox fell short against a sharp Twins lineup. Minnesota’s bullpen held firm to seal the 4-2 result.
