TV Wackersdorf Welcomes Back Matthias Walz as Interim Coach
TV Wackersdorf has announced a change in coaching staff. Christian Zwack, who led the team since the 2025/26 season, has stepped down. The club and Zwack parted ways last Thursday following 'harmonious discussions'.
Matthias Walz, a familiar face to the club, will temporarily take over the coaching position. Walz was the player-coach in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, and has been playing for the TV's men's team since 2011. The club's current standing in the Süd Kreisklasse, with only one win, two draws, and six losses, may have influenced this decision.
Despite the change, the club remains optimistic. Walz's experience and understanding of the team dynamics could bring a fresh perspective and help turn the season around.
TV Wackersdorf bids farewell to Christian Zwack and welcomes back Matthias Walz as interim coach. The club looks forward to Walz's leadership and the potential boost he can bring to the team's performance in the remaining matches of the season.
