Doctor stopped at entry with Botox and Hyaluron - Turkish doctor detained at Stuttgart Airport over suspicious Botox and hyaluronic acid haul

A 42-year-old doctor from Turkey was detained at Stuttgart Airport after arriving from Istanbul on 20 February 2026. Authorities seized a large quantity of Botox and hyaluronic acid, raising suspicions about their intended use. The man, who initially claimed to be a tourist, now faces a criminal investigation for possible drug and customs violations.

The doctor landed at Stuttgart Airport with 45 items, including a substantial amount of Botox and hyaluronic acid preparations. Officials quickly questioned whether the substances were meant for personal use, given their volume.

Upon inspection, customs and federal police concluded the quantities exceeded typical personal needs. The man's claim of being a tourist also drew scepticism. As a result, authorities denied him entry into Germany and launched formal proceedings.

No public records confirm the doctor's professional or legal standing in Germany or the EU. His medical licensing, if any, remains unverified, and no prior criminal history has been disclosed.

The investigation into the seized substances is now underway. German authorities will determine whether the Botox and hyaluronic acid were intended for illegal distribution. The doctor remains barred from entering the country while the case proceeds.
