Turkey's President Erdogan promises to withstand regional turmoil and maintain stability in Turkey.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has pledged to manage crises without compromising Turkey's interests in the current era of increasing uncertainty in international politics. The remarks were made during a groundbreaking ceremony for the Foreign Ministry's new headquarters in Ankara on Sept. 17.
Erdogan, who stated that Turkey is a country capable of setting and implementing its own agenda both domestically and regionally, sharply criticized Israel's military actions. He denounced the killing of civilians, stating it is futile to believe that a secure future can be built at the cost of innocent children's lives through genocide.
Erdogan's comments were directed towards unspecified parties seeking to spread instability in the region. His remarks included pointed criticism of Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories and neighbouring countries. The Turkish President accused Benjamin Netanyahu of driving regional instability and called for Israel to be economically pressured.
In a strong stance, Erdogan warned that Turkey will not remain silent or back down in the face of insolence. He vowed to protect Jerusalem's status, warning against attempts to undermine Muslim claims to the city. Erdogan further stated that he will not allow the holy city of Jerusalem to be defiled by unholy hands.
Erdogan's support for Palestine was evident when he hosted the Palestinian leader in Ankara. He reiterated that Turkey will stand firm against those who seek to turn the region into a sea of blood. Erdogan's remarks towards Israel regarding its actions in Palestinian territories were particularly critical.
The language of diplomacy, according to Erdogan, is courtesy, and Turkey's foreign policy is peace-oriented. However, he made it clear that Turkey will not bow to oppression and oppressors. Erdogan said that Benjamin Netanyahu does not know that those who shed blood will drown in it, and there is no escape from this.
In addition, Erdogan expressed full support for Qatar amidst these conflicts. This stance reflects Turkey's commitment to maintaining regional stability and upholding its principles of justice and peace.
