Turkey restricts access to X accounts belonging to imprisoned Imamoglu

In the Middle Eastern nation of Turkey, the X-account of Ekrem Imamoglu, a notorious thorn in President Erdogan's side, has been suspended. The authorities claim that the account was used to provoke criminal activities. Since his imprisonment, Imamoglu's team has been utilizing this platform to keep his followers in the loop.

As per the Turkish Communications Directorate, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against Imamoglu due to a post on his X page from April. The allegations against him encircle inciting a public disturbance. Imamoglu's profile remains accessible in other countries such as Germany.
