Turkey denounces Israel's ground operation in Gaza as "escalation of genocide strategies"
The ongoing conflict in Gaza City has taken a turn for the worse, with heavy attacks being confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a court hearing for his corruption trial. The UN has indicted Israel and blamed its top leadership for genocide in Gaza, a claim supported by Amnesty International. The bombardment has left the Gaza Strip devastated, with famine, disease, and widespread displacement compounding the crisis.

The Turkish government has also paused its cooperation with Israel amid the conflict. Germany, while supporting Israel politically, has criticized the current military approach and called for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid.
Almost 60 Arab and Islamic states are convening to respond jointly to Israel's airstrikes, indicating regional opposition to Israel's actions. Notably, the Turkish Foreign Ministry believes that Israel does not want a cease-fire, as shown by the launch of a ground offensive.
The Israeli army has launched nighttime ground attacks aimed at occupying Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip. Local officials report that Israeli forces have deployed explosive-laden robots to demolish homes in Gaza City.

The situation in Gaza City has led to a tragic loss of life. On Monday, Gaza City endured one of its deadliest nights, with at least 35 people killed and dozens wounded or missing. The Turkish President Erdogan has compared Netanyahu to Hitler, rejecting Israel's 'promised lands' claims as illegitimate.
Elsewhere, the Hittite site in Türkiye has yielded 56 cuneiform tablets and 22 seal impressions. In a separate development, the Bayrampasa Mayor in Türkiye has been arrested in a corruption probe.
As the conflict continues, the international community is urged to take action to secure a cease-fire and alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
