Turkestan’s new plastic production plant opens with export ambitions
A plastic tableware production plant has started operating in Turkestan
A plant for producing roll polyethene bags and plastic tableware has been launched in the 'Turan' special economic zone in the city of Turkestan. The plant's opening was attended by the akim of Turkestan.
A new factory producing rolled polyethylene bags and plastic tableware has opened in Turkestan Region. The 2 billion tenge ($4.3 million) plant, named the Lubov Dobrota Plant, is located in the Turan Special Economic Zone. Officials say it will serve both local demand and boost exports.
The opening ceremony took place with Nuralkhan Kushero, the akim (governor) of Turkestan Region, in attendance. While the plant itself has created 30 new jobs, the identities of the private investors backing the project remain undisclosed.
The Lubov Dobrota Plant aims to meet domestic demand while expanding export potential. Its launch adds to Turkestan’s growing industrial sector. The region continues to attract major investments, reinforcing its economic development plans.
