TSV 1860's Preparation Strategy for the 3rd League: Challenging Regional and District Leagues

Football Fans, Get Ready for 1860 Munich's Comeback!

Hey there, footy enthusiasts! Guess what? TSV 1860 Munich is already gearing up for the 2025/26 season! If you're excited as we are, hold on tight, because it's gonna be a wild ride!

Sebastian Isbaner, one of our insiders, has been spilling all the beef about the Lions' comeback after their lackluster 2024/25 season. So, buckle up, 'cause we're diving right in!

Putting on the Pads: The 2025/26 Pre-season

After a draw in the final match against Erzgebirge Aue, our beloved Munich Lions ended the 2024/25 season with an 11th place finish. But don't worry, six weeks of sun, sea, and sand are coming up before they hit the training grounds again. Kickoff for the 2025/26 preparation is set to start on June 22nd, right here at Grünwalder Straße.

First up after their summer break? Local teams TSV 1862 Grafenau and TSV Weyarn. But that's just the warm-up, folks! On July 4th, the Lions will take on their first higher-class opponent, FC Eintracht Bamberg. Next, it's off to Austria for a week-long training camp in Ulrichsberg, where they'll train at the Dreihans Arena Ulrichsberg and face SV Ried and Slovan Liberec in two test matches. Don't worry; there'll be plenty of accommodation and activities for traveling fans, according to the event organizers.

The Kickoff: Start Date Unknown

As of now, the only confirmed event post-Austria is a fan festival on July 20th at Grünwalder Straße. But don't sweat it; the club will be announcing more pre-season dates and events real soon. We're talking league play, baby! The 3rd league season will kick off on the first weekend of August (1st to 3rd). But who will our opponents be? Keep your eyes locked onto the club's official channels, and we'll find out together!

The Lions' Roster: New Faces on the Horizon?

At the moment, there's no official word on new signings for the 2025/26 season. But we do know that Lukas Reich has transferred to SpVgg Greuther Fürth, and Sean Dulic has extended his contract with the club. As for Kevin Volland and Florian Niederlechner, the club expects them to don the 1860 Munich jersey once more. We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

The Kit: A Fresh Look for the Lions

TSV 1860 Munich recently announced a new partnership with Joma, who will now provide us with our shiny new kits for the 2025/26 season. They're promised to be street-smart, innovative, and sustainable - just like us, right?

Stay tuned, football fam! We're on the brink of a brand-new season, and we can't wait to see what the Lions bring to the table next! In the meantime, let's reminisce about the memories we shared this season. Go Lions!
