Trump's world seems to be turned upside down

Trump's followers have transformed the reality we live in, creating a distorted universe where falsehoods are accepted as truth, where dark becomes light, and deception is considered truthfulness.

Trump's world seems to be turned upside down

In the polarised world of American politics, the legacy of Charlie Kirk, a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump, continues to be a subject of much debate.

Recent events have brought to light a series of controversial actions and statements made by Kirk, who was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Trump. His business, which targeted minorities and women with shocking ideas, has been a source of criticism.

The shooting of a Democratic Minnesota legislator sparked a controversy when the Trumpist galaxy did not rush to condemn the act. Trump's response to the tragedy was questionable, as he reportedly asked, 'Who?' when asked about the legislator's death. Furthermore, Trump refused to call the governor and the victims' family, a move that was widely criticised.

Trump's actions and words have been a subject of scrutiny, with allegations of intimidation levelled against him. For instance, he threatened an Australian journalist, stating he would discuss the journalist with the prime minister after being asked a question about Trump's fortune. He also threatened to use the power of the American government to cancel the broadcasting license of ABC after a joke about Kirk's death by Jimmy Kimmel.

Trump's administration was also criticised for awarding state honours to individuals who, until Trump, would never have received them, even from Republican presidents. This includes the posthumous awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Kirk.

The narrative surrounding these events among Trump supporters is intriguing. They often claim that criticism of their figures is taken out of context. In the topsy-turvy world of Trumpists, the shortcut between critique and celebration of Kirk's death is not uncommon. This narrative also suggests that the left is responsible for most political violence in the U.S., a claim that contradicts facts showing that political violence in America is primarily the work of right-wing groups.

Stephen Miller, a former advisor to Trump, added fuel to the fire by calling the Democratic Party an internal terrorist organisation following Kirk's death. Trump himself announced he would declare Antifa an 'organisation' terrorist, despite Antifa not being an organisation.

In the face of these controversies, it's essential to remember that every critique of Kirk's outrageous statements isn't a celebration of his death. The Trumpist narrative, which inverts accusations into confessions, continues to be a divisive force in American politics.
