"Every day and every night!" - it's not just a circus advertisement, but the rallying cry of today's Trump administration. After Joe Biden, who shunned the press like a plague, Trump is keeping the press room on its toes, leaving everyone questioning, "What did he say, and what does it mean?"

Over the weekend, Donald Trump didn't disappoint in setting the record straight on the Ukraine conflict. Here's a taste of his bold statements:

"Russia must cede all of Ukraine," he declared to NBC News. He further clarified, "Russia doesn't need the piece it has now; Russia craves all of Ukraine." The dramatic conclusion followed: "Without me, they'd press on." The savior complex is not a new script for Trump. In April, he insisted that Putin, out of respect for the Oval Office occupant, wouldn't seize all of Ukraine, "although Putin's decision, his choice, would be to capture all of Ukraine." It seems Zelensky isn't fully appreciative of his benefactor.

In an interview with the same outlet, Trump called the chances of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine an "open possibility." Yet, he added a cryptic twist, "I'm close with one side, but perhaps not so much with the other." He declined to specify which side when quizzed by a journalist. Why bother clarifying when he can deflect blame on either party?

Trump's signature threats regarding Ukraine negotiations also resonated - if the sides don't make progress on a peaceful settlement, the U.S. would withdraw from talks. This time, it came with a note of frustrated paternalism, hinting that he might allow the conflict to proceed if no significant progress is made.

Trump didn't shy away from discussing talks with Russia's president either. In his usual showman style, he answered a journalist's question with a quip, insinuating that the newspaper was wasting its time by asking. "Are there talks with Putin taking place?", a Wall Street Journal reporter asked. "I wouldn't tell the Wall Street Journal, it'd be a waste of time," Trump retorted. "Talks are happening, but I don't want to discuss it with the Wall Street Journal." He even referred to the newspaper as "degenerate" and harmful to the country. What's the game? It remains a mystery for all to ponder.

Trump also hinted at the possibility of meeting Putin, but once again, he kept it vague. He suggested that such a meeting might occur during his visit to Saudi Arabia in mid-May, but Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov previously stated that the American leader's visit to Saudi Arabia in May does not imply a meeting with the Russian President.

And to add fuel to the fire in the Kremlin, Trump, in an interview with NBC News, suggested that he might sign Senator Lindsey Graham's bill on new sanctions against Russia - "depends on Russia's actions towards peace." Graham, considered an extremist and terrorist in Russia, proposes 500-percent tariffs on imports from countries buying oil, gas, and other energy resources from Russia. This notion could poise a serious threat to the global economy, including the American one. However, it appeals to the masses.

Trump's smoke-and-mirrors approach seems to be justified for the Ukrainian crisis. From day one of his presidency, Trump has steered the U.S. away from losing the Ukrainian conflict for both it and the West, blaming Biden for the debacle. Trump has managed to convince Putin not to claim all of Ukraine! And even if he leaves the negotiations because everyone else is "stupid," everyone will know who is the true heavyweight.
