Trump's lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, confronts pierogi vendor once more; allegedly accused of referencing the chef's incorrect gender identity

Trump's lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, faces accusations once more, this time over allegations of 'misgendering' a pierogi stand chef.

In a surprising turn of events at the West Tisbury Farmers Market on Martha's Vineyard, retired Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, known for his high-profile cases representing figures like President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, has accused a local pierogi stand, Good Pierogi, of refusing to serve him due to political reasons and alleged antisemitism.

Dershowitz, a regular market-goer for decades, claims he was refused service at Good Pierogi due to his political views and Jewish heritage. He has called the vendor "bigoted" and threatened legal action for discrimination. Dershowitz has distributed flyers and posted on social media, urging a boycott of Good Pierogi, asserting his right to be served.

However, the vendor and local supporters strongly deny these allegations. Hundreds of locals showed up at the market in support of Good Pierogi, chanting slogans such as "Go home, Alan!" and lining up to buy pierogi in a show of community solidarity.

Attempts by Dershowitz to convince or pressure the vendor to sell to him have been rebuffed multiple times. Videos show him debating with police officers present, who informed him that as a private vendor, Good Pierogi has the legal right to refuse service, and that Dershowitz could pursue civil legal action if he wished.

The dispute has received widespread media attention, highlighting tensions involving politics, alleged discrimination, and community dynamics on Martha’s Vineyard.

The pierogi stand has cited Dershowitz's high-profile status, both locally and nationally, as a reason for their decision not to serve him. The dispute escalated after Dershowitz was allegedly refused service due to his political views, and he was misgendered by the stand's chef, Krem Miskevich.

Miskevich, who expressed a surge of emotion upon seeing Dershowitz due to his past representation of sexual predators and abusers, stated that Dershowitz being a figure who represented such individuals was a factor in their decision not to serve him. Dershowitz believes the reason for the refusal of service was due to a shirt he wore that said "Proud American Zionist."

In a social media post, the pierogi stand defended its actions, citing its "legally-justified decision to not sell pierogies to Alan Dershowitz." The post did not mention Dershowitz's clothing or any specific incident that led to the refusal of service.

Dershowitz has pursued legal action against the farmers' market over the incident. Last week, he announced plans to sue the West Tisbury Farmers Market, claiming discrimination. The situation remains contentious with Dershowitz alleging discrimination based on politics and antisemitism, while the vendor and many community members reject those claims, emphasizing the vendor’s private right of refusal and local support for the business.

Celebrities have joined the fray on social media, expressing opinions on the ongoing dispute between Alan Dershowitz and Good Pierogi. "#StandWithDershowitz" and "#BoycottGoodPierogi" are becoming popular hashtags in pop-culture discussions, contributing to the escalation of the debate.

Despite Dershowitz's fundraising efforts to support his legal battle against the West Tisbury Farmers Market, some celebrities have used their platforms to encourage their followers to financially support Good Pierogi, citing the vendor's right to refuse service and the community's solidarity as reasons for their assistance.
