Trump Takes Pleasure in Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres Leaving America Due to Him
In a recent appearance on the New York Post's Pod Force One, President Donald Trump expressed his thoughts about comedian Rosie O'Donnell, suggesting that he might not allow her to re-enter the country. Trump stated, "well, we're thinking about not allowing Rosie back into the country because she's very bad for our country and things."
Trump's comments come after both O'Donnell and fellow comedian Ellen DeGeneres have reportedly left the United States following Trump's presidential election victory in 2024. O'Donnell now resides in Ireland, while DeGeneres is based in the UK.
The president's criticism of O'Donnell is not new. He has previously accused her and DeGeneres of suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome." During the same Pod Force One appearance, Trump agreed with columnist Miranda Devine when she made similar remarks.
Trump has a long-standing feud with O'Donnell that dates back to a tense interview on The View in 2006. Over the years, the feud has escalated, with Trump jokingly referring to O'Donnell using terms like "pig" and "slob" during a 2015 debate.
In the same debate, Trump's comments about O'Donnell were met with a positive response from the audience, which he recalled as a "big moment." Trump further stated that O'Donnell may be doing better than ever before due to their ongoing feud. Devine argued that O'Donnell's fame has increased as a result of her ongoing feud with Trump.
Since moving to Ireland, O'Donnell has been vocal about her political views, questioning the results of the 2024 presidential election and pushing a conspiracy theory that Elon Musk helped rig the election in Trump's favour.
In a controversial post on Truth Social, Trump even suggested revoking O'Donnell's citizenship. However, it is unclear whether such a move would be legally possible.
Trump's comments about O'Donnell have sparked controversy and debate, with many questioning the president's authority to ban a citizen from returning to the country. This is not the first time Trump has made such remarks, and it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold.
