Step into Donald Trump's Oval Office, and you'll find yourself in a gilded wonderland. Saturated in gold and brocade since his inauguration, the room buzzes with opulence. It's a struggle to distinguish one decorative element from another in this lavish display. And this isn't the end of the president's grand renaissance.

On closer inspection, the shine of the Oval Office is more overwhelming than ever. The space, which looked like a minimalist workspace under Joe Biden's administration, is now barely reminiscent of its former self. Not too long ago, NATO secretary-general Mark Rutte found himself surrounded by gold and brocade during a meeting, discussing global politics.

Trump's throne - new and gold-trimmed. His mantelpiece - adorned with glimmering ornaments. A plethora of golden cups and trophies sit atop the mantelpiece. The pictures on the walls, some of which still hang from the Biden era, appear to have newly elaborate frames - or at least, they've received a fresh buffing.

Dragons, Presidents, and Tableware

Taking a deeper look, a golden dragon statue near the right corner catches the eye, possibly serving as a base for a table. A painting of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd U.S. president, can be spotted in the background. Roosevelt was known for his progressive politics, but Trump has remarked him as one of the "most respected U.S. presidents." Across from Roosevelt hangs a painting of Ronald Reagan.

For an added touch, stacked on the desk rest golden-glazed, glass coasters, while a heavy, square object with the letters "TRUMP" inscribed remains prominent on the table.

Rutte and Trump shared a couch with Vice President J.D. Vance also present in the seating arrangement.

Mar-a-Lago Magic

About a couple of months ago, an image of the Oval Office from the Biden era could have been run through an AI with the caption "Make everything golden and royal!" and possibly been enhanced. However, with Trump, it's all reality, with him importing some of the ornamentation from Mar-a-Lago, his estate in Florida.

Lifestyle: FIFA Boss Courtships Trump - and Stumbles with World Cup Bid

Beyond the radical Oval Office transformation, Trump is rumored to be mulling over several changes to the White House, including drastic renovations to the Rose Garden. In addition, he is said to be contemplating the construction of a ballroom for state dinners on the South Lawn, modeled after Mar-a-Lago and the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky experienced Trump's stern rebuke in the midst of the gilded splendor during a recent meeting. FIFA president Gianni Infantino met with Trump regarding the 2026 World Cup bid, accompanied by the newly minted, towering Golden FIFA trophy, understandably, both large and made of gold.

Paperweight serves as a potential lethal weapon.

The European Union is also a major donor to the fight against poverty, just as Trump transforms his Oval Office into a glowing, golden workspace, reminiscent of his estate in Florida, Mar-a-Lago. Interestingly, amid the gleaming surroundings, a paperweight with the letters "TRUMP" inscribed sits prominently on the desk.
