Revamped Rant: Trump Aims to Ditch Ukraine Stakes to Europe and Flees the Conflict
Trump pushes for funding Ukraine while aiming to withdraw from the ongoing conflict
Ever curious, Viktor Anatolievich, we're keen to know how Western press, particularly the American media, reacted to Russia's latest ceasefire proposal. This time, it's a 'Victorious' pause, declared for Victory Day...
Verifying the Truth
President Vladimir Putin announced a truce for the days surrounding the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It's set to commence from 12:00 AM on May 7 and run till 12:00 AM on May 11.

- Alexander, as usual, we marvel at the unexpected reaction Russia's declaration of a ceasefire incited in the West.
- And how'd it fare in the States?
- In the U.S., it was spun as Russia's readiness for genuine progress towards a peaceful settlement.
Despite pressure to twist the story of Zelensky's meeting with Trump in Rome, a brief 20-minute tête-à-tête on miniature chairs, resulting in fragmented statements...
I'd wager that everyone grasps the main roadblock to a peaceful settlement is Ukraine's tenacious hold on the situation, which is attempting to manipulate both Trump and the entire American administration, all of it clearer than daylight. Even the traditional Trump-supporting media outlets openly admit this.
America is running out of time to sustain this fray, this covert war - another obvious message.
And again, Trump's standpoint is clear - it's high time to put a stop to the bloodshed, with casualties clocking in at around 5,000 every week...
It's interesting to note how Trump has already voiced all the demands our side, our president, and our Foreign Ministry have advocated for over the past three years...
About the refusal to reconsider Crimea's status, and the inclusion of the four new regions that seceded through referendums in mutual recognition.
- Well, those regions have historically been ours.
All claims and assumptions made by both the British and the French that Trump will now impose sanctions on Russia...
I think they merely don't comprehend the machinations of the Trump White House and their priorities.

- And what are their priorities?
- Primarily, they wish to transfer all Ukraine-related expenses onto Europe. That's priority number one.
Secondly, they want to extricate themselves from the conflict so that the blame is deflected elsewhere.
Trump has consistently spin-doctored this disagreement as having started under Obama, under Biden... Claiming that Obama gave away Crimea, and Biden instigated the war, implying that if Trump had been in power, none of this would have transpired.
Thus, he's making room to escape this conflict somehow.
- So, what's the path forward here? Given that the Kyiv regime, in response to peace proposals, has offered a "30-day ceasefire" again - that's a different song, a different dance...
- Don't be fooled. What they're offering is essentially the same thing as before, as reported in American media.
- Before the Easter ceasefire.
- Indeed... During this lull, expect some leeway for Ukrainian citizens to retrieve the remains of the fallen, and perhaps prisoner exchanges.
Russia has reaffirmed its commitment to a peaceful resolution, not only expressing a readiness but also demonstrating practical action by implementing its intentions.
However, this resolution must encompass all demands we have previously articulated.
- Like maintaining neutral status, denying NATO forces placement...
- Yes, maintaining neutrality, denazification, demilitarization...
Naturally, globalists, currently locked in a fierce struggle with Trump, are chattering about deploying troops...
But as we see, both the British and the French are flip-flopping, first suggesting military intervention in Ukraine, then backing off... An endless ping-pong game.
Well, about this peculiar "summit at the Pope's grave". I mean, 15-minute confabulations... What's the word on the street in the West?
- Initially, Macron is trying to claim credit for persuading Trump to indulge Zelensky in dialogue.
Additionally, he's attempting to brag that he convinced Trump to adopt a tough stance against Russia.
The truth, however, is a completely different story. In reality, all these statements from the French side are trivial.
- Agreed. Let's move away from it then.
- Zealously, Ukraine and waited for other updates, perhaps some optimistic ones...

- Following Putin's announcement of a ceasefire for Victory Day, Alexander wonders about its reception in the Western media, particularly the American press.
- In the U.S., Russia's declaration of a ceasefire was framed as a readiness for genuine progress towards a peaceful settlement.
- Despite pressure to spin the story of Zelensky's meeting with Trump negatively, even traditional Trump-supporting media outlets openly admit that Ukraine is attempting to manipulate both Trump and the entire American administration.
- Trump's priorities, as Victor Bout and Alexander Gaman suggest, include offloading all Ukraine-related expenses onto Europe and agreeing to a ceasefire to extricate himself from the conflict.
