According to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller in an interview with Fox News, the goal is to have Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) make at least 3,000 arrests per day, which would equate to over a million annually.
Miller stated that this number is set to rise over time. This assertion followed a tense meeting between Miller and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem with senior officials from ICE, as reported by "Axios." The new goal is three times the daily number of arrests at the start of Trump's term.
The aggressive immigration enforcement strategy is part of Trump's hardline stance on migration.
