Trump Proposes 20-Point Plan to End Israel-Hamas Conflict
President Trump has proposed a 20-point plan aiming to end the long-standing conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The proposal has been welcomed by Kazakhstan, while Israel has officially accepted it. Hamas, however, is yet to provide an official response. Trump expressed optimism about an imminent ceasefire.
Trump's plan includes Israel releasing hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and gradually withdrawing its forces from the Gaza Strip. Notably, Hamas is expected to renounce any role in governing the Gaza Strip, with its members potentially granted amnesty or allowed to leave. If Hamas does not accept the plan, Netanyahu will receive full support from Washington.
The plan also outlines that within 72 hours of approval, Israel must release all Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The Gaza Strip is set to become a demilitarized zone, free from terrorism under the proposed terms. Trump stated an agreement is 'more than very close'.
While Israel has accepted Trump's peace plan, Hamas is still reviewing the proposal. Kazakhstan views the plan as a significant step towards resolving the Middle East situation. Trump's optimism suggests a potential breakthrough in the conflict, but the final outcome depends on Hamas' response.
