Trump, Netanyahu Unveil Gaza Peace Plan: Amnesty, Ceasefire, and Prisoner Release
President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have unveiled a comprehensive peace plan for Gaza. The proposal aims to bring an immediate end to the conflict, offering amnesty to Hamas members who commit to peaceful coexistence and decommission their weapons.
The plan, backed by the U.S., includes a ceasefire to halt the ongoing war in Gaza. It also introduces the concept of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) to oversee Gaza's security, with Israel progressively handing over terror-free areas to the ISF, regardless of Hamas' response.
In return, Israel has agreed to release over 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, suspend military operations, and maintain frozen battle lines until the conditions for a complete withdrawal are met. The plan also ensures the release of all Israeli hostages in Gaza within 72 hours of Israel accepting the agreement.
The transitional government plan for Gaza involves international experts from the United Nations, the Quartet, and potentially Egypt and other Arab states. While Israel has accepted the proposal, Hamas' cooperation is still crucial for its successful implementation. The plan offers a path towards peace, but its outcome depends on the willingness of all parties involved to embrace the proposed solutions.
