John Legend Calls Out Donald Trump as a 'White Supremacist' on Social Media

In a heated exchange on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter), American singer John Legend has labelled former US President Donald Trump as a 'white supremacist'. The comments were made in response to Trump's political stance and were posted at The Fifteen Percent Pledge's 15th Street Block Party in Hollywood.

The video, which has since resurfaced, shows Legend asserting that Trump believes his "group is superior. Genetically superior." He also accused Trump of blaming, misinforming, and dividing people instead of bringing them together.

Legend's comments sparked a divided reaction on social media. Some users sided with the singer, with one writing "Oh no, John Legend has hurt their hoods. Hopefully, RFK Jr. has a vitamin supplement for that." Another user jokingly commented that Legend had hurt "their hoods."

However, others criticized Legend and called him a "hypocrite." A social media user on Musk's X referred to John Legend as a "talentless 'musician'." Despite the backlash, Legend's political stance remained unchanged.

Legend also criticized Trump's fixation on DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), calling him a "bigot." He claimed that any white man would do in Trump's hiring agenda in politics, giving examples of successful black people in the government.

Legend described Trump as a "terrible leader, especially in crisis." His comments were made after Trump took office on Jan. 20, 2025. The social media comments did not affect John Legend's political stance, and the singer continued to express his views on social and political issues.

Social media reactions to John Legend's comments about Donald Trump were divided, with some users defending the singer and others criticizing him. However, the comments were clear: John Legend believes that Trump is a 'white supremacist' and is not afraid to speak out about it.
