Donald Trump, the former U.S. President, paid a private visit to Windsor Castle on Wednesday, accompanied by his wife, Melania. The visit, which was not open to the general public, was reported by British media, notably the Daily Mail.

Upon arrival at around noon local time, Donald and Melania Trump were greeted by King Charles III and Camilla, the Queen Consort. The couple was also joined by Prince William and Princess Kate during their visit to the United Kingdom.

The guided tour included a visit to the tomb of Henry VIII, as well as Winston Churchill's Order of the Garter plaque. The highlight of the visit, however, was the private wreath-laying ceremony at the queen's tomb, where Donald Trump paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. He stayed at the tomb for ten minutes before laying the wreath.

The event was held without cameras, but Donald Trump described the experience as "a great honor." Following the ceremony, Donald and Melania attended a small concert by the choir of St. George's Chapel.

During their state visit to the UK, Donald and Melania were also received by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cambridge. Melania was notably accompanied by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate during the reception on Windsor Castle and the subsequent horse-drawn carriage procession.
