Trump expresses dissatisfaction with Netanyahu, as per Wall Street Journal report
In a series of recent developments, tensions between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have come to light, centring around the latter's decision to attack Hamas in Qatar. According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, the relationship between the two leaders is currently tense and marked by disagreement. During a heated phone call, Trump described Israel's attack on Hamas in Qatar as "unwise." However, a second call that day was friendlier, with Trump inquiring about the success of the attack. Trump has expressed concern to several aides that Netanyahu prefers military force over negotiations to force Hamas' surrender. He also emphasized the importance of caution when attacking people, suggesting that Qatar should be treated carefully. However, Netanyahu did not alert Trump about the Qatar strike, according to Trump. This omission may have contributed to the growing discord between the two leaders. Despite the reported tension, a senior Israeli official has denied the report, calling it "fake news." Contrary to this, US President Trump is reportedly frustrated with Netanyahu, going so far as to reportedly say, "He's f-ing me," about the Israeli Prime Minister. Interestingly, Trump earlier this week emphasized that Qatar has been a great ally to the United States. He also stated that people often speak of Qatar negatively, but they should not. In other news, Trump's security has been heightened following the murder of Charlie Kirk. Additionally, Trump postponed the TikTok ban again amid ongoing deal negotiations. Despite these challenges, a senior Israeli official has reportedly stated that the relationship between Trump and Netanyahu is excellent. The White House, however, did not comment on the reported tension between the two leaders.
