US President Donald Trump Pays Tribute to Late Hollywood Legend Robert Redford
In a heartfelt tribute, US President Donald Trump remembered the late Hollywood actor Robert Redford, who passed away at the age of 89 in his home in Utah.
Speaking at a press conference in Washington, Trump described Redford as "fantastic" multiple times, praising the actor for his outstanding contribution to the film industry.
"Robert Redford was a fantastic actor," Trump said. "He made seven or eight fantastic films, and there was a time when he was considered 'nobody better'."
The films that Redford is most known for include Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, The Great Gatsby, All the President's Men, The Natural, Out of Africa, The Horse Whisperer, and All Is Lost. His directorial debut, Ordinary People, was highly acclaimed and won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Trump also recalled a time when Redford was considered "the hottest" in the industry.
"He was a great actor, a fantastic actor, and he will be missed," Trump added.
The announcement of Redford's death was made by his spokesperson. The tribute for the late Hollywood actor was given by US President Donald Trump to journalists in Washington.
