Trump alleged to target prominent Black figures: On the radar, prominent Black figures face potential confrontation by Trump.

Trump consistently criticizes Beyoncé, with Jessica Williams suggesting this could be a diversion tactic from the Jeffrey Epstein files controversy. Williams expressed this idea on the July 28 episode of The Daily Show, interrupting host Jon Stewart's monologue to share her perspective.

Trump alleged to target prominent Black figures: On the radar, prominent Black figures face potential confrontation by Trump.

In a series of attacks, former U.S. President Donald Trump has targeted prominent Black figures like Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Vice President Kamala Harris, primarily by accusing them of illegal campaign practices. The latest instance involved claims that Beyoncé received an illegal payment of $11 million to endorse Harris' 2024 presidential campaign.

During her appearance on The Daily Show, comedian Jessica Williams defended Beyoncé, stating that Trump's attacks are a deliberate attempt to distract the public from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Epstein's private island served as the hub for his sex-trafficking operation involving minors.

Trump's accusations against Beyoncé and Harris have been denied by both their camps. Public finance records show that Beyoncé received no money for her endorsement of Harris. Instead, Harris' campaign covered the production costs of Beyoncé's appearance, as required by law.

Trump's misinformation campaign extends beyond Beyoncé and Harris. He has also falsely accused Oprah of taking bribes to support Democratic candidates and made debunked claims about an "illegal election scam" involving Bruce Springsteen.

Jessica Williams believes that Trump uses attacks on Black public figures as distractions to avoid addressing the mounting pressure over the Epstein files and related scandals. This strategy seems to be part of a broader effort to discredit his political opponents and high-profile figures who support them.

As the Epstein files continue to garner attention, some suspect they will prove Trump's previous visits to Epstein's private island. Trump, however, has emphasized his belief that he "never had the privilege" of going to the island.

In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump wrote about Beyoncé's alleged illegal payment, stating that she was paid eleven million dollars for an endorsement of Harris in 2024. This is not the first time Trump has made such claims, which lack factual basis.

In light of these attacks, Williams suggested that Trump could target other high-profile Black figures next, possibly Michael Jordan, Michael B. Jordan, or Michael C. Jordan.

As the public awaits further developments in the Epstein case, it remains clear that Trump's repeated attacks on Beyoncé and other prominent Black figures serve as a diversionary tactic, rather than a basis for factual accusations.
