Trump Advocates for Epstein Diversion Set to Unveil Surprise at Putin Meeting, Predicts Michael Wolff

In a series of events surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, author Michael Wolff suggests that President Donald Trump is considering a high-stakes diplomatic move to divert attention from the ongoing controversy.

Wolff's analysis, featured on The Daily Beast's podcast "Inside Trump's Head," indicates that Trump has been urgently seeking a significant distraction to overshadow the Epstein files scandal. According to Wolff, Trump's strategy might involve a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where he may be ready to offer concessions on Ukraine in an attempt to end the war and gain political advantage.

This potential move, if it were to occur, would not be the first attempt by Trump to shift focus away from the Epstein scandal. Previous efforts, such as deploying troops to certain cities or politically targeting individuals like progressive mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, did not gain traction.

The Epstein drumbeat, as Wolff terms it, is unceasing and most threatening to Trump, particularly among his MAGA base. Some in MAGA circles have accused Trump of a cover-up and perhaps of personal guilt in the Epstein scandal. In response to these accusations, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung called Michael Wolff a "lying sack of shit."

The MAGA movement has been anticipating that Epstein's files would reveal Democrats' alleged criminal involvement with Epstein. However, according to the Department of Justice, there is no evidence of such involvement.

Co-host Joanna Coles noted the possibility of Trump attempting to force Ukraine to surrender large chunks of land for a deal. Trump, according to Wolff, may pull the U.S. out of involvement in the Ukraine war as a means to divert attention from the Epstein controversy. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, however, doubts that this move will make progress.

Wolff predicts that this move will not work in diverting attention from the Epstein controversy. The case regarding Epstein was closed by the Department of Justice, leaving the Epstein drumbeat unceasing and a constant threat to Trump's standing with the MAGA base.

Attorney General Pam Bondi once claimed to have Epstein's "client list" on her desk, sparking anticipation among MAGA followers. Yet, the contents of that list remain unknown, and the Epstein scandal continues to cast a long shadow over Trump's presidency.
