Construction Site Accident in Hövelhof: Truck with Concrete Pump Overturns, Three Injured

A major construction project is currently underway at Hövelhof Secondary School in Paderborn District. On Monday morning, a serious accident occurred on the site, prompting a large-scale emergency response from firefighters.

A truck equipped with a long crane arm and a suspended concrete pump suddenly toppled over. The heavy machinery collapsed, striking and seriously injuring three workers.

Investigators are now examining whether the ground beneath one of the truck's outrigger supports gave way. Police have launched an inquiry into the incident.

Rescue operations were complicated by the rough terrain of the construction site, according to the fire department. Two of the injured had to be carried out on stretchers and are now receiving hospital treatment.
