Neubokel (our platform)

A crash occurred on Federal Highway 188 this morning at approximately 9:55 a.m. According to the current state of investigations, a 54-year-old man was driving his truck toward Hanover when, between the Neubokel exit and a nearby commuter parking lot, the vehicle combination skidded on icy roads. The tractor unit then veered left off the road, while the trailer jackknifed, completely blocking the highway.

The 54-year-old driver was uninjured, and no other vehicles were involved. Since operational fluids leaked from the truck, the Lower Water Authority of Gifhorn District was notified. Additionally, the district road maintenance department set up a detour.

At the time of this press release, the highway remains closed in both directions.
